Lightweight but entertainingly twisted Christmas story

The Stupidest Angel is set in Pine Cove, a sleepy town on the California coast. Its citizens are mostly a bit goofy and marginal; they include a stoner sheriff and a former B-movie actress who has occasional problems keeping in touch with reality. And as the book starts, there's a variation on O. Henry's story "The Gift of the Magi" already going on.

Into the town discreetly slips Raziel, an angel sent to perform a Christmas miracle for a child. Unfortunately, since he's the stupidest angel, the miracle goes more than a little awry.

The book is somewhere between mildly and pretty amusing and is entirely suitable for an evening or two's entertainment.
